Weekly lets run from Saturday to Saturday in the peak seasons (June, July and August), however out with this period we offer short breaks.
Arrival and departure times – For weekly bookings your accommodation will be ready for you at 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please do not arrive before this time. Please vacate by 10 am on the day of your departure. Make the most of your short break, arrival and departure times can be by arrangement.
Heating / Electricity is included in the cost of your cottage. Widefirth Cottages have underfloor oil central heating, whereas the Riff Farmhouse and Riff Cottage are centrally heated throughout by radiators and oil boiler.
Bed Linen. Duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases are supplied and the beds are made up for you. Extra blankets are also provided.
Towels. One bath towel and one hand towel are provided per person. Also tea towels available.
Cots can be provided free of charge, high chairs also available on request.
Welcome pack of grocery items and samples of Orkney produce provided on your arrival. The pack includes variety of cereals, cheese, milk, bread, selection of Orkney biscuits, oatcakes and Orkney fudge. Also included is tea bags, coffee and sugar. In the kitchen you will find washing up liquid, hand soap, cleaning equipment and cloths and in the utility room there is washing detergent and softener. The bathroom and toilet are provided with toilet roll and hand soap.
Dogs – Well behaved dogs are very welcome by arrangement only. Please do not allow dogs in the bedrooms or on furniture or leave unattended in the house. (with the exception of the Riff farmhouse).
The cottages are thoroughly cleaned between guests, please report any serious breakages or problems as soon as possible.
We operate a non-smoking policy throughout all properties.
Deposits / final payments. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost of your holiday is to be paid on booking; the balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. If the booking is cancelled less than 6 weeks prior to arrival, the 80% balance will only be refunded if the property is re-booked by another party.
